Hello.

Im here to ask you all if you want HB to come back. Sinceriously i really miss it, do you?

I think it was a great part of PvP, not similar to anything.

Ill make a list of The good things of Hero Battles:

- You could make it alone, no need to find groups & long waitings.
- Very Direfent Kind of PvP, thats always good.
- It had a ladder, motivation for PvP players, always good too.
- Monthly Automated Tournaments.

I think that Hero battles would really be positive if they come back, theres loads of people that miss them. And ill have to say that when HB were availeable you didnd have to wait for hours to enter, like you have to, now in Codex, or any kind of PvP where you have to make a team.

Anet could fix the zaishen mission of HB, by quitting it or by not leting /resign valid in HB, or something else, reducing the reward, increasing the victorys much more to recive the reward etc etc etc...

I would like all to post your ideas here, and if any member of Arenanet could read this and have it in mind, would be great.

I miss TA too. But anyway there is RA and TA was very dead.

You didnt have to make a team in HB(very good for this times), it was very interesting, or to change from the rest of PvP, and very diferent from the rest of PvP.

Hero Battles sucked and was abused. Agree with Dorin. TA was a pretty cool guy.

Do you remember what happened to HB? Obviously not. With Codex quest they brought back the color resign day crap. Same thing happened with HB which is why that title became worthless.

Codex title is worthless, because the only way you could ever get it is by syncing since nobody plays it.

I am just baffled that anyone would be against this. Why would anyone want a PvP arena WHICH ABSOLUTELY NOBODY PLAYS. It's completely dead. With HB and TA, although somewhat small, it had it's own playerbase and you could actually play it. And isn't being able to play it the main point of a game?

Yes, let's bring back a fundamentally broken format, which even if it could work would only serve to further split the PvP community, thereby making things worse no matter how you slice it.

I don't think we need TA or HB back. Just need to focus on fixing RA and codex then everything will be fine. That is if they ever do fix them >.>

JQ/FA were more pvp than HB. Hell, pve pugging is more pvp than HB, with retarded team-mates vs. not retarded team-mates.

Heroes are not players. Therefore, they have no place in PVP. If they do bring HB back, it will be like EL tonics, fun to mess with, but nothing is gained from doing it.

Starcraft requires microing units, Hero Battles requires microing heroes. So is starcraft not a PvP game? And yeah nothing would be gained from it except the entire hero battle community returning.

I'd like to see the idealized version of HB that it was always supposed to be. But I realize that's impossible. The format is irreparably broken and will always descend into abuse no matter what you try to do to fix it. That's why it was removed in the first place, and why it needs to stay dead.

The poll itself is showing far different results than the post are showing. Majority of players on guru seem to be casual PvPers at the most though. This could be the reason for the negative posts?(could be wrong, its just IMO)
Being a former HBer that quit GW for a while before RR day became prominent, I say that it would be an amazing return for the game. I also agree that TA should be brought back as well as it was fun to have a small team game available (codex is a joke and doesn't even count towards a "small team format").
I am biased, I know becuase it used to be what I did for the most part in Guildwars, but I have a hard time finding somebody who could say no to bringing back EVERYTHING that was removed for Codex, even if that means dealing with RR day in HB.
